Where Properties Are Listed
Japan has several major property listing portals, each with different strengths. The largest is SUUMO (suumo.jp), operated by Recruit Holdings. Others include LIFULL HOME'S and at home. Over 900 municipalities operate akiya banks — free databases of vacant properties at very low prices.
Any licensed agent can access the REINS database — the industry-wide listing system. You do not need to work with the listing agent specifically.
